SILK REELING TAI CHI: "SPIRAL MOVEMENTS FOR BODY & MIND WELLNESS"
In this therapeutic exercise course, you will experience Silk Reeling, the therapeutic exercise that is the core practice of the Tai Chi Circles. Through learning these circular and spiral motions, you’ll embrace a movement modality designed to enhance mental clarity, loosen tight muscles, improve balance and mobility, and strengthen your entire body.
Another key benefit is that it encourages the shoulders to be relaxed and down, rather than tensed up. This requirement provides many benefits: alleviating the fear response that tensed-up shoulders trigger, leading to headaches, stiff neck muscles, frozen shoulder and other forms of discomfort. Recent studies have also shown that increasing range of movement, including rotational movement, can have numerous health benefits, while releasing underlying strain patterns. This is why Silk Reeling is considered to be a unique and effective form of self-physical therapy.
